AYNI -the Indigenous Women’s Fund- was launched in 2008 and works globally, with an administrative office located in Lima, Peru. AYNI is a Kichua/Quechua word that synthesizes reciprocity, solidarity, equity, and collaboration both between humans and other beings of the cosmos (animals, plants, stars, ancestors, etc.).
AYNI is the economic and philanthropic arm of the International Indigenous Women’s Forum -FIMI- that promotes accountability and provides opportunities to promote social justice. AYNI serves as a facilitator instrument of resources (material, human, and financial) for indigenous women. The Fund accompanies the processes defined by the organizations themselves and articulates them with the global movement of indigenous women.

Global Fund for Women is one of the world’s leading foundations for gender equality, standing up for the human rights of women and girls. It campaigns for zero violence, economic and political empowerment, and sexual and reproductive health and rights. Global Fund for Women uses its powerful network to rally advocates, raise money, and get support to where it’s most urgently needed. It funds and partners with women-led groups who are courageously fighting for justice in their own communities. This rights-based approach gets to the root of gender inequality and is the most effective way to create permanent social change. Since 1987, Global Fund for Women has invested in nearly 5,000 grass-roots organizations in 175 countries, helping to win rights for millions of women and girls.
The International Trans Fund (ITF) is a participatory grantmaking fund made up of trans activists and donors. The ITF aims to increase the capacity of the trans movement to self-organize and advocate for trans people’s rights, self-determination, and wellbeing.
Founded in 1983, Mama Cash is the first international women’s fund and supports the work of women, girls, and trans and intersex people, as they are best placed to challenge the injustice and discrimination that affect them. Courageous women’s, girls’, and trans and intersex people’s human rights organisations worldwide need funding and supportive networks in order to grow and transform their communities. Mama Cash mobilises resources from individuals and institutions, makes grants to these self-led, feminist organisations, and helps to build the partnerships and networks needed to successfully defend and advance women’s, girls’, and trans and intersex people’s human rights globally.
The Equality Fund brings together partners with a feminist agenda to build an innovative solution to fund the fight for gender equality around the world. The Equality Fund provides direct financial support to grassroots women’s rights organizations that are Holding Ground and Breaking Ground in the global South. The Equality Fund supports innovative women to dismantle barriers, challenge perceptions, and change the world for women and girls.
Urgent Action Fund for Feminist Activism provides fast, flexible funding to women, trans and non-binary activists who take and face enormous risks to challenge oppressive systems and build a more just and equitable world. Our holistic resources enable frontline feminist movements to respond to real-time threats and opportunities, protect and care for themselves and one another, and sustain and propel solutions to the most critical crises and injustices of our time.
Women First today is an organization enthusiastically embracing a new name and a 2019-2022 strategic plan that establishes a new vision, mission, and strategy. That plan is framed around one of our core threads – the unconditional respect we have for the grassroots women’s groups we’ve funded for fifty years, and with whom we will actively partner through our new three-stage, six-year grantmaking program.
Women Win is the global leader in girls’ empowerment through sport. We leverage the power of play to help girls build leadership and become better equipped to exercise their rights. Sport is only our tool. Our end game is helping girls thrive as they face the most pressing issues of adolescence, including accessing sexual and reproductive health and rights, addressing gender-based violence and achieving economic empowerment.
